Owner Bio

Michael Bass (DukeMAB) was one of the movers and shakers of the early days of the FOBL. To this day, he still moves and shakes, though league insiders suggest it's now caused by a slow withdrawal of medication and the sight of the Juggernaut's Bandwagon Component. He is the inventor of the "double-dip uber-tank," for which he is constantly on the A-list of the league's most oft-booked banquet speakers.

Little is known about the inner-workings of the man behind one of the more storied franchises in league history, except that he insists that his staff members call him "The Big Kahuna" and that he eschews all scouting in favor of the search button on Baseball Prospectus's Web site. "If it ain't there, it ain't anywhere," he was once quoted.

Duke is a connoisseur of pickled foods. He collects done-been-unscrewed wine caps, and used batting gloves. His favorite is a vintage '11 Carl Sletten.
