Owner Bio

Buddy Grant, a long standing member of the Capital City Tri-County Chamber Of Commerce and Jaycees, was last involved in professional baseball in the late 1950's. At that time he coached the local Tri-County Steelers AAA club which his father owned, and grew an affection for the business of baseball. Unfortunately scandal forced the club to disband a few weeks later, and soon Buddy was out on the street, scrounging to cash checks his father sent to him. He then went into Politics and recently retired after inheriting a large sum of money from some of his constituents that he had information on. His broker suggested he get on the ground floor with the new league, which might net him a tidy profit if he can keep costs to an absolute minimum.

Franchise Lineage:
2001 to Present: Capital City Metropolitans -- Owner: Paul Groening (aka "Buddy Grant ")
