Jose Higa of the New Jersey Jockitch was firing on all cylinders against the Potomac Pop Rocks. He blanked them 3-0 on 5 hits and posted 3 strikeouts and 1 walk.
So far in 29 starts this season, Higa has recorded 13 wins and sustained 11 losses. He has pitched 205.2 innings, yielded 211 hits, fanned 173 and has a 3.85 ERA.

 | Monday, August 19th, 2030: Pop Rocks Blank Warrensburg, Livingston Winner
Everything clicked on the hill today for Jed Livingston of the Potomac Pop Rocks as he hurled his club to a 8-0 shutout win over the Warrensburg AAs, limiting them to 4 hits while recording 8 strikeouts and yielding 1 walk. He overpowered some batters with his fastball and buckled knees with his sharp breaking pitches.
"We had our shot at him a couple of different times," the AAs manager said, "but we weren't able to get to him."
This season Livingston has compiled a 12-6 mark with a 2.56 ERA in 28 starts.

 | Thursday, June 27th, 2030: Baker 5-6 Against Warrensburg
Potomac shortstop Wes Baker put on quite a show at Ballpark of Potomac with a big 5-hit day in the 4-3 victory over the Warrensburg AAs.
In the postgame interview, he said with a smile, "Not a bad day at the plate...5-6...wish I could do this more often. It would do wonders for my batting average...and my salary, too."
W. Baker tripled in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off C. Castillo in the 9th, singled in the 11th and singled in the 13th.
A look at his season totals shows Baker with 7 home runs, .273 BA, .356 OBP, 37 RBIs and 50 runs scored.
