"Ever since I picked up my first bat my coaches were always saying to keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing... just make contact and ya never know what'll happen," Potomac's Kel Richardson told reporters after the game. "That's all I did today. I made contact and it turned out well."
It definitely turn out well for Richardson today as he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats against Field B. It turned out well for his team, too, as the Pop Rocks knocked off the Blue Team 10-1 at Ballpark of Potomac.
K. Richardson singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off B. Morris in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off C. Palmer in the 7th.
So far this year in 115 games Richardson is hitting .268 with 16 home runs, 56 RBIs and 61 runs scored.

 | Monday, September 1st, 2036: González Punishes JL Pitchers This Week
Jaime González burst onto the JJ League stage in a big way last week. This promising rookie second baseman for Potomac garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy.
The 26-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .524 (11-21) with 2 home runs and 7 RBIs last week.
This season González is batting .232 with 53 RBIs, 48 runs scored and 10 home runs.

 | Sunday, July 20th, 2036: Orellana Whitewashes Norman
Behind the strong pitching of Jose Orellana, Sturgis shut out Norman 4-0. Orellana surrendered only 6 hits in recording the complete-game victory. He registered 7 strikeouts and 2 walks.
Checking out his stats for the season, Orellana has notched 11 wins and 3 losses in 16 starts, 2.67 ERA and struck out 110 batters in 121.1 innings.
