It was a storybook year for the Vertigo Bellringers as they closed out a 4-1 series win over the Thunder Bay Bayhwaks to claim the 2030 STK Memorial Trophy. They wrapped it up with a 9-4 victory to cap an incredible season and brought home their 1st championship.
The Bellringers manager gave his view of the series, "We had a lot of things going for us, offense and defense doing it at the right time. That's what it takes win a STK Memorial Trophy."
"We're disappointed we lost, but we're also very proud of what we did all year," said the Bayhwaks manager. "They played better baseball than us and they beat us."
During the JJ League Gonzo Division regular season Vertigo put up a 78-52 record and finished first.

"Sometimes I was smart . . . and sometimes just a little lucky." That's how Ri-bai Seishisai of the Vertigo Bellringers described his shutout victory over the Thunder Bay Bayhwaks. Seishisai blanked them 4-0 on 4 hits while striking out 11 and walking 1.
Checking out his stats for the season, Seishisai has registered 11 wins and 10 losses in 32 starts, 4.04 ERA and struck out 202 batters in 200.2 innings.

 | Sunday, August 18th, 2030: Nicholas Superb Against Vertigo
Gary Nicholas shut 'em down and shut 'em out, hurling Duluth past Vertigo 2-0 in a complete game victory.
He told SION sportswriters in the postgame interview, "This is a game of adjustments and I made some good ones in this game."
Nicholas held the Vertigo Bellringers without a run, tossing a 3-hitter while walking 1 and fanning 5.
To date this season Nicholas is 9-4 with 12 starts and an ERA of 4.21 with 92 strikeouts in 113.1 innings.
