| Breaking News | | Monday, July 22nd, 2030: Field B Helpless Against Moon The Field B Blue Team were almost helpless today in their 6-0 loss to Marlton hurler Frances Moon. He kept them confused the entire ballgame and spun a 5-hit shutout.
The Field B manager said in the postgame interview, "Tip your hat to Moon. He kept us off balance all night."
Moon said, "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play. It was just one of those games that things went my way."
He had 3 walks and 3 strikeouts in a strong performance.
This season Moon has compiled a 10-1 mark, 2.11 ERA and made 8 starts. | | Sunday, July 14th, 2030: 5-5 Day for Zayas Adan Zayas put on a hitting clinic today as the Flounders dumped the Blue Team 9-3 at Ballpark of Cape May. The Cape May second baseman sprayed hits all over the ballpark by lashing Field B pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game.
He told SION reporters after the game, that he just hit it where they pitched it. "Too often I try to pull the ball too much. Today I just went with the pitch."

A 5-hit hitting spree! That doesn't happen everyday! He ripped Sonoma pitching apart at Troondonts Ballpark and sparked the Troondonts to a 10-2 victory. He wrote his name in the record books, finishing up his special day 5-6.
"I'm usually a first ball hitter," Montoya told SION reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid that."
R. Montoya singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off W. Young in the 7th and struck out in the 9th.
Montoya is hitting .371 this year with 4 home runs and 33 RBIs.
