| Breaking News |  | Saturday, August 31st, 2030: Davis Hurls Tacoma to Shutout Win
Matt Davis of the Tacoma Timbers really strutted his stuff on the mound today with a 2-0 victory. He was almost untouchable, bewildering the Waxahachie Supercolliders with a 5-hit shutout in which he struck out 10 and gave up no walks.
In 25 starts this year Davis has fashioned a 5-16 record and a 4.99 ERA.

 | Thursday, August 29th, 2030: Caldwell Tosses Shutout Against Supercolliders
The Waxahachie Supercolliders met their match today in Tacoma hurler Pat Caldwell. He kept them guessing the whole game and spun a 4-hit shutout.
"He just worked us over," the Waxahachie skipper said. "He probably didn't even take a shower after the game. I don't think he even worked up a sweat. They could probably pitch him again tomorrow."
In the 11-0 victory Caldwell whiffed 12 and gave up 1 walk.
On his stats sheet this season Caldwell shows a 9-5 record, 18 starts, 117 innings, 129 strikeouts and a 2.77 ERA.

 | Monday, August 26th, 2030: HL's Best Player, Phillips of Waxahachie
Bob Phillips of the Waxahachie Supercolliders had a big week with the bat and today was voted the Player of the Week by the Hype League.
For the week Phillips batted .533 (16-30) with no home runs and 9 RBIs.
Phillips is currently batting .273 with 6 home runs and 53 RBIs.
