It was Filiberto Guzman, the Indianapolis starting pitcher, who made all of the noise. He shut them out 20-0, allowing 3 hits while walking 0 and fanning 6.
This season Guzman has compiled a 5-0 mark, 2.20 ERA and made 6 starts. |  | Monday, April 21st, 2031: VL Player of the Week Awarded At the age of 30, Tony Villar might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Greenbelt shortstop put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days collecting the Vaughan League Player of the Week Award.
He racked up 10 hits in 19 at-bats, 3 home runs and 7 RBIs last week in 6 games.
|  | Wednesday, September 25th, 2030: Kenneth Buckler Hits #300 The Greenbelt Gophers defeated the Kentucky Juggernaut 3-2 yesterday in a game that featured Kenneth Buckler's 300th career home run.
In the clubhouse, the Gophers center fielder spoke about the milestone achievement. "To be honest, I don't even remember my first home run," he said. "But this one I don't think I'll forget. Who knows if I'll hit another hundred, or fifty, or even ten?"
On his historic day, Buckler banged out 2 hits in 5 at-bats and scored 1 run with 1 RBI.
