| Breaking News |  | Saturday, August 31st, 2030: Stone Mountain's Doblado Down with Injury
The Foragers received bad news this morning. Carlos Doblado will miss 1-2 weeks due to a tender elbow. In the Stone Mountain-Carman game he sustained the injury while throwing a pitch. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," Doblado sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery."
For the season Doblado has made 25 relief appearances, recorded no saves, compiled a 7-8 won-lost mark and a 4.97 ERA. In pitching 126.2 innings, he has totaled 140 strikeouts and 54 walks.

 | Monday, June 3rd, 2030: Hit Parade! Davis Pops 5 Hits!
"It was like I was hitting little league pitching," said Nick Davis after his 5-hit performance against the Pioneers. "No offense meant to Palm Springs, but I could see the ball that well. But this wasn't a kid league park, it was Foragers Ballpark!"
The Stone Mountain third baseman had a fantastic day at the plate, knocking out 5 hits in 6 at-bats and pacing his club to a 4-3 victory.
His manager elaborated after the game to the press, saying, "Nick worked the entire offseason on trying to shorten his swing and stay inside the ball and the hard work is paying off in base hits."
"That's what I'm trying to do," Davis said. "Be quick to the ball and let it travel a little farther so I get a better look at it."
N. Davis singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, flied out in the 9th and singled in the 11th.
In 2030 Davis is batting .357 with 1 home run.

Frank Harris went on a hitting spree last week against Hype League pitchers and today copped the Player of the Week Award.
The Stone Mountain Foragers shortstop peppered the opposition with 13 hits in 27 at-bats, 2 home runs, 8 RBIs and 6 runs scored. In the last 7 games he hit .481 with an on-base percentage of .548.
Thus far this season Harris is hitting .279 with 4 home runs, 25 RBIs and 26 runs scored. He has 43 hits in 154 at-bats and has played in 43 games.
