Saturday, September 1st, 2035: HL's Best Batter Announced
Not known for his offensive prowess, Shawn Knight set the league afire in August and took home the Hype League Batter of the Month award.

The Shreveport third baseman posted a steady .378 batting average, 9 home runs, 30 RBIs and 21 runs.

Knight is batting .271 in 2035 with 28 home runs, 79 RBIs and 76 runs scored. He has 124 hits in 458 at-bats.
Friday, August 17th, 2035: Portland Whitewashes Queens, Mota Winner
Dominic Mota of the Portland Fighting Prawns was really in the zone as he mowed down the Queens hitters 4-0 in a sterling mound performance.

"I'm feeling good overall," he said.

"I'm executing my pitches, I'm able to hit my spots and I'm getting outs in key situations."

Mota shut down the Queens Bees, blanking them on 6 hits while registering 9 strikeouts and no walks.

In 2033, Mota has chalked up 17 wins and 6 losses in 27 starts with 190 strikeouts in 211.1 innings and a 2.90 ERA.
Saturday, August 4th, 2035: Porter Raps Shreveport for 5 Hits
The Ankylosaurs tripped up the Hurricanes 11-7 today, led by Nate Porter, their 27-year-old first baseman. He tagged Shreveport pitching for 5 hits, making life miserable for them the entire game.

N. Porter singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off S. Collins in the 8th.

A look at his 2035 stats shows Porter with a .337 average, 23 home runs, 80 RBIs and 61 runs scored. He has played in 101 games.
