| Breaking News |  | Monday, September 1st, 2036: Ferguson Week's Top Player 24-year-old Jerry Ferguson made a few Little Rock headlines during this past week as the rookie catcher proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Hype League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort.
He cracked 11 hits in 21 at-bats to put up a .524 average. Ferguson collected 3 home runs, 12 RBIs and scored 5 runs.
This season Ferguson has hit at a .275 clip and produced 38 RBIs, 12 home runs and 41 runs scored. |  | Wednesday, August 27th, 2036: Reilly Belts Bunch of Base Hits No matter what the Anchorage Ankylosaurs threw at him today, Pete Reilly hit it. He easily handled Ankylosaurs pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Squealing Pigs to a 12-8 triumph at Ballpark of Little Rock.
He told BNN reporters in the postgame interview, "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball."
The Anchorage skipper quipped, "Well, the next time we may just do that... blindfold him... and then pitch him differently, just to be sure."
P. Reilly hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI triple in the 3rd, hit an RBI triple in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 7th.
Thus far in 2036 Reilly has hit .315 with 8 home runs, 57 RBIs and scored 69 runs. |  | Thursday, May 22nd, 2036: Walters Spins Shutout Against Little Rock Jeremy Walters of the Miami Vice really did a job on the Squealing Pigs today at Vice Stadium, shutting them out 8-0. Walters frustrated Little Rock hitters throughout the game, surrendering 4 hits. He struck out 4 and walked 0 in picking up the victory.
