Shawn Miller of the Little Rock Squealing Pigs was locked in all week as he bullied the Hype League pitchers he faced. Miller put up some great numbers and hauled in the Hype League Player of the Week trophy.
He hit .522 with 1 home run and 9 RBIs. The 21-year-old third baseman also scored 6 runs and for the week went 12-23.
Presently Miller is batting .305 with 54 hits and 4 home runs. He has knocked in 29 runs and scored 23 times.

 | Thursday, August 29th, 2030: High-5s for Phillips! Goes 5-5!
Little Rock catcher Chip Phillips really lit up the Miami Vice with a 5-hit barrage today at Ballpark of Little Rock -- a performance that sparked the Squealing Pigs to a 15-4 triumph.
He shrugged off the performance after the game and said, "Sometimes the ball finds outfielders, today the ball found some holes."
C. Phillips hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off A. Miller in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
Thus far this year Phillips has hit .256 with 5 home runs and 45 RBIs.

 | Sunday, August 18th, 2030: 5-5 Day for Ortíz!
There are moments in a player's career that are etched into their memories forever. Cris Ortíz of the Little Rock Squealing Pigs had one of those moments when he went 5 for 5 at the plate today in the 11-2 win over the London Knights at Ballpark of Little Rock.
The 23-year-old shortstop told reporters in the postgame interview, "This is a day I won't forget soon, but I'll settle to just get a hit or two every day...enough hits to hang around the league a little bit longer... like 10... 15 more years maybe."
C. Ortíz singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
So far this season Ortíz has gotten 41 hits in 151 at-bats for a .272 batting average with no home runs. His stats include 16 RBIs and 10 runs scored. He has played in 48 games.
