| Breaking News |  | Sunday, September 7th, 2031: Grape Apes Reyes Will Miss Season
Felipe Reyes has to call it a season. The Graceland Grape Apes center fielder sustained a season-ending injury against the Anchorage Ankylosaurs and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Reyes was injured while making a defensive play. His doctors diagnosed it as a possible ruptured disc (back) and stated that he would not be able to play for 8 months.
Presently Reyes is batting .183 with 53 hits and no home runs. He has knocked in 13 runs and scored 36 times.

It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Hype League, but last week Augusto Díaz of the Graceland Grape Apes reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week.
Díaz rocked opposing pitching for a .400 average (12-30), 2 home runs and 6 RBIs to come away with the award.
Díaz is batting .339 with 8 home runs and 49 RBIs this season.

 | Tuesday, July 1st, 2031: Jenkins - HL's Best Starter
There's something about a young rookie winning the Hype League Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Chet Jenkins, a 22-year-old starter for the Graceland Grape Apes.
In June, he topped off the month with a 6-0 mark and 1.79 ERA in 6 starts, tossed 45.1 innings, fanned 43 and held opposing teams to a .195 average.
Jenkins has gone 8-2 this season with an ERA of 2.90 and 82 strikeouts in 102.1 innings pitched. Other clubs are hitting .229 against him.
