It was a hits blitz for Bob Phillips at Field of the Supercolliders. The Waxahachie Supercolliders left fielder tore into Palm Springs for 6 hits in 6 at-bats to pace the Supercolliders to a 23-2 victory and wrote his name into the baseball record book.
The manager for the Pioneers bemoaned his pitching, saying, "We fell behind and weren't locating well. Once you get behind in the count, you have to make real good pitches, rather than good pitches, and we weren't able to do that today." He added, "Not to take anything away from Phillips, but bad location was the story of the ballgame. That's why we lost the game."
B. Phillips doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off T. Johnson in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off P. Ortíz in the 9th.
Thus far in 2031 Phillips is batting .290 with 5 home runs, 58 RBIs and 59 runs scored.

 | Thursday, August 14th, 2031: Pioneers Huang Blanks Miami
Kian-tat Huang was dynamite today and just blew Miami away in the 4-0 victory. The Palm Springs Pioneers starter had everything working as he hurled a 5-hit shutout over the Vice, recording 5 strikeouts and 1 walk.
"He was pure nasty out there today. I don't think any team in the league would've had a chance against what he was bringing," said the Miami skipper during his postgame press conference.
In 2031 Huang has compiled a 3-3 record with a 2.25 ERA in 8 starts.

 | Wednesday, July 30th, 2031: Season Ends for River MacMurdoch of Palm Springs
The season is finished for River MacMurdoch of the Palm Springs Pioneers. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Pioneers left fielder suffered a possible ruptured disc (back) while making a defensive play in a recent game against the Pleasurewood Hills Pines. Team doctors said it would take at least 7-8 months to heal.
Thus far this season in 90 games MacMurdoch is batting .268 with 2 home runs, 30 RBIs and 41 runs scored. He has 98 hits in 366 at-bats.
