| Breaking News | | Wednesday, August 28th, 2030: Paul Shuts Out Vice On the hill Anthony Paul stood out and was the master of the moment as he blanked Miami 2-0.
At bat the Vice floundered, fizzled and failed to score.
"His fastball moves and he mixes in the slider," the Miami manager said. "He kept us off balance."
The Davis pitcher hurled a 1-hit shutout in an exceptional effort. He gave up 4 walks and numbered 9 strikeouts.
"I felt good," Paul said. "That's probably the best fastball I've had all season. I was able to locate it pretty well. They were super-aggressive, which helped me."
Up to now Paul has compiled an ERA of 2.53 with a 8-5 mark over 18 starts. He has 124 strikeouts in 114 innings and has held opponents to a .212 batting average. | | Monday, July 29th, 2030: Hype League Selects Best Performer According to the voters, J.J. Novak agreed. "The key is getting ahead. Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit. You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready."
