It may only come around once in a career -- a lot of players never have one -- but Nick Davis got one today. He scattered hits all over Foragers Ballpark to pace Stone Mountain to a 14-3 victory over Coast City.
The Coast City skipper told reporters in the press room, "Tip your hat to him. He hit some good pitches. According to the scouting report, Davis hit several that he is not supposed to hit."
N. Davis singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit a GRAND SLAM off B. Tookes in the 7th and walked in the 9th.
To date Davis has chalked up a .365 average with 1 home run, driven in 17 runs and scored 28 times. | | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 3-4, .429 PCT | | Position in Division | 4th, 2.0 GB | | Record at home | 2-1, .667 PCT | | Record on the road | 1-3, .250 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 0-0, .000 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 0-0, .000 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 0-3, .000 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 3-1, .750 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 3-4, .429 PCT | | Record in April | 3-4, .429 PCT |
