Monday, May 27th, 2030: Ballentine On Fire! 5-5 for Stone Mountain!
History in the making. That's what the fans at Foragers Ballpark got to see today, when Stone Mountain outplayed the Lanterns 14-0. Julius Ballentine of the Foragers came to the plate 5 times and came away with a dynamite day as he exploded for 5 hits against Coast City.

In the postgame press conference the Coast City skipper quipped to reporters, "Hey, we tried to get him out. We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the kitchen sink."

J. Ballentine walked in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off A. Dye in the 9th.

So far this season Ballentine has gotten 55 hits in 169 at-bats for a .325 batting average with 3 home runs. His stats include 27 RBIs and 27 runs scored. He has played in 40 games.
Sunday, May 26th, 2030: 5-Hit Barrage by Davis
It's not something you read in the sports pages everyday -- a 5-for-5 day. It may only come around once in a career -- a lot of players never have one -- but Nick Davis got one today. He scattered hits all over Foragers Ballpark to pace Stone Mountain to a 14-3 victory over Coast City.

The Coast City skipper told reporters in the press room, "Tip your hat to him. He hit some good pitches. According to the scouting report, Davis hit several that he is not supposed to hit."

N. Davis singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit a GRAND SLAM off B. Tookes in the 7th and walked in the 9th.

To date Davis has chalked up a .365 average with 1 home run, driven in 17 runs and scored 28 times.
