Pleasurewood Hills fans have something to crow about today as Pleasurewood Hills shortstop Manuel Bautista nabbed the Hype League Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days.
"I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Bautista.
He posted a .500 average (13-26) this past week with 2 home runs, 7 RBIs, and 7 runs scored.
Thus far in 2030 Bautista has hit .261 with 8 home runs, 33 RBIs and scored 45 runs.

The Hype League has selected its Player of the Week. The honor went to Monroe Sisco, first baseman of the Pleasurewood Hills Pines.
In a standout performance, he lit up the league with a .611 average to win the award. Sisco went 11-18 for the week, totaled no home runs with 2 RBIs and scored 4 times.
On the season, Sisco is batting .393 with no home runs and 3 RBIs. He has played in 30 games.

Jerry Rucker of the Pleasurewood Hills Pines really strutted his stuff on the mound today with a 5-0 victory. He was almost untouchable, bewildering the Little Rock Squealing Pigs with a 4-hit shutout in which he struck out 8 and gave up 1 walk.
