Wally Wallace of the Davis Stallions was masterful today, pitching a 4-hit 7-0 shutout against the London Knights and giving his bullpen a rest by going the distance.
According to his manager, "He had command of every ball and every pitch... great location, too." Wallace had 10 strikeouts and issued 3 walks in an impressive outing.
So far this year Wallace has compiled a 14-10 record with a 3.18 ERA.

Any time a rookie makes a splash on the scene, it's got to be great for his career potential. Just ask Manny Rodríguez, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The London Knights reliever, 31, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .127 average and walked away with the Hype League Pitcher of the Month award for August.
Rodríguez posted a 4-1 mark and a 0.96 ERA in no relief appearances. In 46.2 innings, he stacked up no saves, 31 strikeouts and 11 walks.
This season Rodríguez has logged no saves. He has thrown 176.2 innings, dished out 100 strikeouts and walked 40 while putting up a 13-7 mark and a 2.24 ERA.

 | Friday, August 24th, 2035: White Torches Muskies for 5 Hits
Paul White did more than his part as Princeton trimmed Madison today at Muckies Ballpark. The Eggheads second baseman pounded out 5 hits to pace his team to a 8-6 thumping of the Muskies.
P. White singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off J. Isenhour in the 9th.
This season White is batting .296 with 11 home runs.
