| Breaking News | | Monday, September 3rd, 2035: HL Names Cheesemakers Cervantes Winner His hard work and hustle paid off this week. The hard-working and hard-playing Jesús Cervantes was rewarded with the Hype League Player of the Week honors.

Just ask Gunnar George, the Monroe third baseman, who swung a sweet bat all week to not only aid his team, but also pick up the Hype League Player of the Week honors.
George piled up 10 hits in 24 at-bats, 5 home runs and 10 RBIs while hitting .417.
This year George is batting .211 with 22 home runs and 67 RBIs. | | Sunday, July 15th, 2035: Douglas Belts 5 Hits Mel Douglas was a tough out and went 5 for 5 against Carman in a fine hitting display. But the Junior Goldeyes still managed to beat the Monroe Cheesemakers 6-5.
"I got my pitches and I connected. They all found the right holes on the diamond. Some days you hit shots and they're right at somebody... and some days they fall in." Douglas also added, "And some days you lose, no matter how well you play. 5 hits in a game ought to win it."
Don't know if it is any consolation to him, but he will get his name put in the record books.
M. Douglas singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off P. Hayes in the 9th.
This year Douglas is batting .257 with 79 hits, 3 home runs, 26 RBIs, 5 walks, .271 OBP and has scored 30 runs. | | | Injuries | | Player | Injury | Out for... | Disabled List Status | | 2B Santiago Salazar | undisclosed injury | 4 days | Not on DL | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 56-74, .431 PCT | | Position in Division | 4th, 28.0 GB | | Record at home | 31-34, .477 PCT | | Record on the road | 25-40, .385 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 7-6, .538 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 14-24, .368 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 10-11, .476 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 46-63, .422 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 3-7, .300 PCT | | Record in April | 7-7, .500 PCT | | Record in May | 15-14, .517 PCT | | Record in June | 7-19, .269 PCT | | Record in July | 10-18, .357 PCT | | Record in August | 16-13, .552 PCT | | Record in September | 1-3, .250 PCT |
