In a splendid 7-0 shutout performance, Junior Hanson of the Evansville River Cats subdued the Bikini Atolls on a 3-hitter.
His manager said in postgame comments, "He kept hitting his spots and putting up zeroes."
Hanson registered 6 strikeouts and 2 walks.
In 14 starts this season, Hanson has recorded 8 wins and absorbed 3 losses. He has pitched 108 innings, allowed 73 hits, struck out 85 and has a 2.58 ERA.

On the hill Raúl Molinary stood out and was the master of the moment as he blanked Fishers 6-0.
At bat the Ice Caps floundered, fizzled and failed to score.
"His fastball moves and he mixes in the slider," the Fishers manager said. "He kept us off balance."
The Bikini pitcher hurled a 5-hit shutout in an exceptional effort. He gave up 1 walk and numbered 7 strikeouts.
"I felt good," Molinary said. "That's probably the best fastball I've had all season. I was able to locate it pretty well. They were super-aggressive, which helped me."
This year Molinary has posted a 4-2 mark in 7 starts and has a 2.44 ERA.

 | Friday, May 24th, 2030: Death Valley Helpless Against Kitamura
Ryunosuke Kitamura pitched a strong game in blanking the Death Valley Burn 7-0, allowed no runs on 5 hits, totaled 14 strikeouts and gave up no walks.
The Bikini manager said he could tell right away it was going to be a good game for Kitamura. "Right from the start, you could see how economical he was," he said. "He threw a lot of strikes."
In 7 starts this season Kitamura has fashioned a 3-3 record and a 2.66 ERA.
