Willie Carter went on a week-long hitting streak against Coppage League pitchers and captured the Player of the Week honors.
The Hilo catcher battered the opposition for 13 hits, 3 home runs, 7 RBIs and scored 4 runs. He hit .500 and posted a .552 on-base percentage.

Peter Cameron put a hex on Hilo in a sparkling 2-0 shutout performance, mesmerizing them on a 3-hit gem.
"I feel good physically," he said. "Everything's comfortable. You should pitch well when that's the case."

"Cameron used his changeup very well, very effectively," the opposing manager said. "He threw it in hitter's counts."
