| Breaking News | | Saturday, August 3rd, 2030: 5-Hits Blitz by Fishers's Fleming! Who needs batting practice? Al Fleming of Fishers apparently doesn't as he battered Tri-Cities with a 5-hit outburst in today's game to lead his club to a 12-5 win.
He told the press after the game, "And I didn't even take BP today. I think I have been taking too many swings before game and decided to take a day off. Wow, this was really something... a 5 for 6 day... will my name be in the record books now?"
A. Fleming hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 7th and struck out in the 9th.
To date Fleming has chalked up a .290 average with 2 home runs, driven in 48 runs and scored 57 times. | | Tuesday, July 23rd, 2030: Kiyomizu Records Shutout Against Ice Caps Hiro Kiyomizu of the Evansville River Cats shut out the Fishers Ice Caps 9-0, stopped them on 5 hits and had 8 strikeouts and 3 walks in a strong outing.
After the game his manager said, "He just came out and was on the attack from the first pitch he threw. When Hiro stays ahead in the count, he does well. That's the key."
In 2030 Kiyomizu has compiled a 10-6 record with a 3.92 ERA in 22 starts. | | Thursday, June 13th, 2030: Atolls Triumph, Blank Ice Caps On the hill Raúl Molinary stood out and was the master of the moment as he blanked Fishers 6-0.
At bat the Ice Caps floundered, fizzled and failed to score.
"His fastball moves and he mixes in the slider," the Fishers manager said. "He kept us off balance."
The Bikini pitcher hurled a 5-hit shutout in an exceptional effort. He gave up 1 walk and numbered 7 strikeouts.
"I felt good," Molinary said. "That's probably the best fastball I've had all season. I was able to locate it pretty well. They were super-aggressive, which helped me."
This year Molinary has posted a 4-2 mark in 7 starts and has a 2.44 ERA. | | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 4-3, .571 PCT | | Position in Division | 3rd, 2.0 GB | | Record at home | 3-0, 1.000 PCT | | Record on the road | 1-3, .250 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 1-0, 1.000 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 1-0, 1.000 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 1-0, 1.000 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 3-3, .500 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 4-3, .571 PCT | | Record in April | 4-3, .571 PCT |
