Yoshitora Nishikawa dominated the day, pitching shutout ball against the Troondonts and holding them to 5 hits. He fanned 3 and walked 1 in spinning his 3-0 win.

Stevens Point second baseman Diego Ávila really lit up the Danville Blue Devils with a 5-hit barrage today at Troondonts Ballpark -- a performance that sparked the Troondonts to a 6-5 triumph.
He shrugged off the performance after the game and said, "Sometimes the ball finds outfielders, today the ball found some holes."
D. Ávila grounded out in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 10th, singled in the 11th and hit a solo-shot off M. Echegaray in the 14th.
This year Ávila has 2 home runs and a .429 batting average.

 | Wednesday, October 2nd, 2030: CL - A Top Hitter, 2030 Choice Is Cashman
Cary Cashman was hitting on all cylinders in 2030, making Stevens Point a very happy organization. He put up some phenomenal marks this year and was awarded the Coppage League's Outstanding Hitter Award today.
The first baseman piled up 222 hits, 25 doubles, no triples, 13 home runs and 84 runs batted in as he pieced together his .397 batting average.
For being named the CL - A's top hitter, Cashman will be honored at the SION Baseball Writers awards banquet this weekend.
