Reginald Fields really did a number on the Stars in the Andersonville 8-1 victory. Not just anyone can get 5 hits in 5 at-bats. But Reginald Fields did just that today for the Prisoners and gave his batting average a healthy boost and sparked his club in the win.
"I felt real good in the batter's box today. I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done," the 20-year-old left fielder said after his record-setting performance.
R. Fields hit a solo-shot off W. Kim in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
Fields is hitting .387 this year with 2 home runs and 6 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .457, 4 walks and scored 9 times. |

His hard work and hustle paid off this week. The hard-working and hard-playing Chet Holder was rewarded with the Ohl League Player of the Week honors.
The scrappy Andersonville Prisoners right fielder hit .619 while collecting 13 hits in 21 at-bats, no home runs and 3 RBIs.

All game long Floyd's Pepe Recinos was rattling the walls at Ballpark of Biloxi and banging out base hits against the Andersonville Prisoners. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Barbers had a 20-3 victory.
Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 20-year-old second baseman said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this."
P. Recinos singled in the 1st, singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, walked in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off D. Calderón in the 8th.
In 2030 Recinos is hitting .359, batted in 45 runs with 8 home runs and 57 runs scored.
