| Breaking News |  | Thursday, August 21st, 2036: Joe Unknown Lost for Season
Summerville right fielder Joe Unknown could miss the remainder of the season because of a fractured skull. He exited yesterday's Sonoma game after injuring himself while colliding with a player at a base. The original diagnosis said Unknown would be out 7 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer.
"He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."

Jermaine Sargent went the distance at Ballpark of Summerville today. The Summerville hurler yielded 5 hits, walked 2 and had 6 strikeouts in the HellOnEarths 8-0 triumph over the Muncie Squires.
This season to date Sargent has a record of 8 wins and 10 losses with a 4.37 ERA, has appeared in 20 games and struck out 85 in 113.1 innings.

"My pitching coach told me before the game just to bear down and focus. He said no one was going to hit me if I'm throwing a good breaking ball with good location."
And that's what Anthony Paul did as he led the Vintners to a 7-0 shutout victory over the HellOnEarths.
"I thought he put the ball where he wanted to," the Summerville manager said. "And that's just about the whole secret to pitching."
Paul yielded 3 hits and had 3 strikeouts and 2 walks in a standout performance.
In 2036 Paul has compiled a 7-6 record with a 4.88 ERA in 14 starts.
