Chad Brown humbled the Gastonia Grizzlies today at Slam Stadium. In the 4-0 shutout win, he yielded 3 hits, fanned 16 and walked 2 to pace the Mandan Tier 6 Varsity Giants to victory.
Checking out his stats for the season, Brown has registered 12 wins and 5 losses in 21 starts, 3.58 ERA and struck out 229 batters in 140.2 innings.

 | Monday, August 6th, 2035: Troondonts Dibella Blanks HellOnEarths
Rod Dibella of the Stevens Point Troondonts shut down the Summerville HellOnEarths 5-0 on a 5-hitter, holding them scoreless while ringing up 6 strikeouts and allowing 2 walks.
After the game Dibella said, "Guys have been fouling off a lot of pitches lately and I've been getting into too many deep pitch counts, but I'm pleased with the way things went today. I went right after them and stayed ahead in the count."
So far this year Dibella has made 2 starts, tossed 41 innings, struck out 28 batters and walked 16. His record is 3-1 with a 3.07 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .256 batting average.

In an impressive mound performance, Jarred Sackett of the Hilo Stars checked the Summerville HellOnEarths on a 2-hitter and held them scoreless.
"He was getting ahead of us and keeping the ball off the plate," said the Summerville manager. "Sackett kept us confused the whole game."
The Hilo hurler rang up 13 strikeouts and issued 2 walks in his 7-0 shutout victory.
