| Breaking News |  | Thursday, August 29th, 2030: Wallace Strong Arms Agriculturalists in Shutout
Brad Wallace of the Toronto Maple Leafs was on top of his game today. He tantalized the Easton Agriculturalists with crisp curves and changeups, mixed in with just enough fastballs to keep the batters honest and came away with a 6-0 shutout.
In the postgame comments, the Easton skipper said, "He had the changeup working. You knew it was coming and you still grounded out -- and then he threw it even slower."
The Toronto hurler had 6 strikeouts, gave up 1 walk and surrendered 4 hits in his complete game effort.
Wallace told reporters after the game, "To be successful in this league, you have to keep the ball down. If you don't, they'll make you pay."
His record this season is 9-5 in 24 starts and Wallace has a 3.67 ERA.

 | Thursday, July 18th, 2030: Ríos Hurls Agriculturalists to Shutout Victory
Sometimes even Víctor Ríos of Easton isn't sure which pitcher will show up when he takes the mound.
"I've been good sometimes and bad sometimes," he said.
This time he made the Tombstone Gravediggers look bad 5-0.
Ríos tossed a 4-hit shutout against them, totaling 8 strikeouts and giving up no walks.
So far in 2030 Ríos has compiled a 6-9 record with a 3.10 ERA.

 | Saturday, July 13th, 2030: Talley Sizzles, Easton Fizzles
The Easton Agriculturalists struggled at the plate today against Red Team hurler Curt Talley, who shackled them on 3 hits while hurling a complete game 6-0 shutout.
"What can you say? We didn't hit well," said the Agriculturalists skipper in his postgame comments.
"Hopefully we shake this off and bounce back tomorrow."
Talley finished the game with 8 strikeouts and 1 walk in an excellent mound performance.
"He pitched real well," his manager said. "Curt made pitches when he had to. He hit his spots and did a great job of mixing in his changeup and using his fastball effectively."
His record this year is 8-6 in 19 starts and Talley has a 4.82 ERA.
