| Breaking News |  | Monday, July 28th, 2031: Quincy Left Fielder Nets CL Award
20-year-old Pablo Gallardo made a few Quincy headlines during this past week as the rookie left fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Coppage League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort.
He cracked 11 hits in 23 at-bats to put up a .478 average. Gallardo collected 1 home run, 7 RBIs and scored 4 runs.
In 2031 Gallardo is batting .303 with 6 home runs.

 | Tuesday, July 1st, 2031: Neal Sparkles in Shutout
Today Herrells pitcher Clarence Neal sparkled in a 1-hit shutout against the Quincy Quinkies at Herrells Ballpark. He fanned 8 and walked 2 to help Northampton post the 1-0 win.
So far this season Neal has a 9-3 record with a 2.45 ERA.

 | Sunday, June 1st, 2031: May's Best Starter Named in CL
In May, Tony Ruíz tore through the Coppage League like a seasoned veteran -- quite impressive for a player only 22 years old.
The young Quincy starter posted a 5-1 mark and an ERA of 1.24 to earn the Pitcher of the Month award. In 50.2 innings he collected 12 strikeouts while limiting the opposition to a .198 average.
In 2031 Ruíz has fashioned a 6-1 mark, 1.52 ERA and pitched 65.1 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .199 against him and he has logged 14 strikeouts.
