Saturday, September 14th, 2030: Engineers Beat Quinkies in Read Rubber
It was a storybook year for the Albany Engineers as they closed out a 4-0 series win over the Quincy Quinkies to claim the 2030 Read Rubber. They wrapped it up with a 6-1 victory to cap an incredible season and brought home their 2nd championship.

The Engineers manager gave his view of the series, "We had a lot of things going for us, offense and defense doing it at the right time. That's what it takes win a Read Rubber."

"We're disappointed we lost, but we're also very proud of what we did all year," said the Quinkies manager. "They played better baseball than us and they beat us."

During the Read League East Division regular season Albany put up a 72-58 record and finished first.
Sunday, September 8th, 2030: Engineers Holds Pigeons Scoreless
In an outstanding outing, Mitch Daniels tamed Washington Heights on a 4-hit shutout. The Albany hurler went the distance, finishing with 7 strikeouts and 2 walks in the 4-0 win.

"He had a lot of first pitch strikes and kept us off balance with a lot of off-speed stuff," according to the Washington Heights manager. "We just didn't get too many balls squared up today."
