Doctors expect Richmond's Adam Liss to be out of action for up to 8-9 weeks with a damaged ankle tendon. The Confederates reliever suffered the injury while falling off the stage at an Awards Ceremony.

Newspapers in Richmond and Orono reported that the Confederates have reached a deal sending a 3rd round draft pick and a 5th round draft pick to the Bear Brewers for 27-year old minor league left fielder William Ulrich.

The Richmond 9-6 victory over Atlantic City was highlighted by George Driskell's 300th career home run. His teammates congratulated him at home plate after he circled the bases.
"I didn't see all of them out there," Driskell laughed, "until I rounded third base." He added sheepishly: "It was only a home run. It's not like I won us a World Series!"
In 5 at-bats the Confederates left fielder collected 1 hit in his historic game, scored 1 run and had 3 runs batted in.
Driskell has a lifetime .289 average and .379 on-base percentage in his career with 2252 hits, 509 doubles, 11 triples, 300 home runs, 1276 RBIs and 1383 runs scored.
