| Breaking News |  | Monday, September 9th, 2030: Albert Duran Suffers Injury
"I'm frustrated right now," said Wichita left fielder Albert Duran. "I can't help this team by sitting on the bench or in the training room." Unfortunately for the Tumbleweeds, that's where he will be spending the next 2 weeks. Duran suffered a strained abdominal muscle in today's game against Ayr while running the bases. "Believe me," he said, "I won't be out a day longer than I have to be."
In 139 games this season Duran has batted at a .281 pace with 151 hits and 12 home runs.

 | Wednesday, September 4th, 2030: Bad News for Wichita, Valle Hurt
A blow for Hernan Valle today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 3 months with a torn bicep muscle. Valle suffered the injury throwing the ball. Although officials from the Wichita Tumbleweeds are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Valle's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature.
Currently Valle has 23 home runs and a .324 batting average.

| Monday, September 2nd, 2030: GL Player of the Week Goes to Valle of Wichita
When it came to hitting the baseball, Hernan Valle had few peers in the Gindin League this past week.
The talented left fielder for Wichita tagged opposing pitchers for a .407 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 11 hits in 27 at-bats, 5 homers, 6 runs scored and 9 RBIs.
In the 2030 season Valle is batting .326 with 173 hits and 23 home runs. He has scored 90 times and batted in 96.
