| Breaking News |  | Monday, April 21st, 2031: Sea Lions Swap Godleman to Snowbirds for Carter
The Santa Cruz Sea Lions announced a deal with the Snowbirds today, sending 20-year old minor league catcher Paul Godleman to Wisconsin for 21-year old minor league first baseman Ollie Carter. It had been talked about for the past few weeks and everything came together late last night. All players are expected to be joining their respective clubs shortly.

 | Wednesday, April 16th, 2031: Wisconsin Whitewashes Las Vegas, McKinney Winner
"He was too darn good for us today," grumbled the Las Vegas manager after his club suffered a 10-0 shutout at the hands of Dan McKinney of the Wisconsin Snowbirds. He held the Las Vegas Lightning scoreless in a 5-hit whitewash.
McKinney was in a zone of his own most of the game and finished with 5 strikeouts and 2 walks in a strong outing.
In a postgame quote his own skipper added, "He pitched his butt off, had good velocity, good movement and had those guys off balance. Dan did a whale of a pitching job."

His critics are starting to suggest that Wisconsin's Jay Zullo doesn't have much left, but the 36-year-old Zullo prefers not to think that way. He cooked up a remarkable week in the last seven days, topping it off with the Player of the Week Award in the Gindin League.
The veteran catcher for the Snowbirds rolled to a .500 average (10-20) with 3 home runs and 6 RBIs.
