Friday, November 2nd, 2035: Hollywood Takes Title
The Media Whores earned their 3rd Solecismic Series title and now get to spend all winter basking in glory, while the beaten Wombats will have plenty of time to wonder what went wrong.

Hollywood is the Front Office Baseball League Champions for 2035. They did it with a 5-3 triumph to capture the series 4-3.

"Both clubs are talented. We just made fewer mistakes than they did," the winning manager said to the press corps at the postgame press conference. "We made the crucial plays and got the timely hits."

The Utica skipper agreed with that assessment and added, "We were a little weak on fundamentals at crucial times. I have a sneaky suspicion we will be working on fundamentals a lot next spring."

On the way to the Solecismic Series championship, the Media Whores ended up in first place in the Gindin League Dola Division and compiled a 102-60 record during the regular season.
Thursday, October 11th, 2035: Chipps Records Shutout Against Delinquents
Hollywood's Jerry Chipps breezed through the Delinquents lineup today, collecting a 2-hit shutout and a 10-0 victory along the way. Chipps fanned 1 as well.

"I didn't really feel like I had my game today," Chipps confessed, "but some days are like that -- you just gotta go with what you have."

In 33 starts this season, Chipps has recorded 16 wins and absorbed 8 losses. He has pitched 225.1 innings, allowed 252 hits, struck out 97 and has a 5.03 ERA.
Monday, October 1st, 2035: September's GL Batter of Month Award Announced
Brian Gibson is in the final year of his contract with Hollywood and today added a timely piece of hardware to his trophy case. Playing in 27 games in September the 29-year-old third baseman ripped Gindin League pitchers for a .429 batting average, nabbing him the Batter of the Month award.

He also rang up 15 home runs, 36 RBIs and 28 runs scored.

If Gibson keeps up this pace, he'll cost someone a lot of money.

Batting .341 to date, Gibson has 49 home runs and 144 RBIs.
