| Breaking News |  | Friday, November 8th, 2030: 2030 Premier Batter Picked The #1 hitter in the Gindin League in 2030 was Santa Cruz third baseman Ronald Goodall. This season he sparkled and shined on the diamond and was selected the Silver Slugger.
Goodall finished the year with a .297 batting average, 162 hits, 45 home runs, 131 RBIs, .452 OBP and 131 runs scored.
He will get his trophy at the SBWA awards banquet this weekend. |  | Thursday, October 24th, 2030: Indianapolis Beats Santa Cruz in Solecismic Series The Indianapolis Ice Weasels concluded the season in grand fashion -- they won the Front Office Baseball League Solecismic Series. They nailed it down at David Letterman Field by whipping the Santa Cruz Sea Lions 5-1 to win it all. They took the series 4-1.
Their motto for the season was "Win or Die Trying".
"They never let up and they never stopped trying the whole season," the Ice Weasels manager proudly told reporters. "They hustled and fought the whole season and it continued in the playoffs. They are a very special bunch of guys."
To get their 4th league crown, the Ice Weasels finished up the regular season in the Vaughan League Calzone Division with a 114-48 record, ending up in first place in the division standings. |  | Friday, September 27th, 2030: Mota Records Shutout Against Sea Lions It was a razor-sharp performance by Dominic Mota of the Wisconsin Snowbirds against the Santa Cruz Sea Lions. He fashioned a fine 5-hitter in blanking them 3-0 and chalked up 7 strikeouts and no walks.
