"It was kinda freaky. Hopefully, I'll be back in the lineup soon," said a dejected Hidemaro Kinnosuke after injuring himself in a game against Honolulu. The Barstow manager told reporters, "He will miss up to 3 weeks with a strained hip muscle." The Brouhaha are expected to announce a roster move in the next day or two.

5 times is a charm -- at least in the world of baseball. When a player gets 5 or more hits in a game, he is honored in the record book and the latest honoree is Shido Kokan of the Barstow Brouhaha. He tore up the Green Bay EZ Riders to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the Barstow 11-6 win today at Emrich Field.
"Kokan was a tough out today," the Green Bay manager said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure."
S. Kokan singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off B. Lupo in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off P. Osuna in the 8th.

 | Monday, September 23rd, 2030: Microbrewers Sugano Smacks 5 Hits!
"Ever since I picked up my first bat my coaches were always saying to keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing... just make contact and ya never know what'll happen," Tokugawa Sugano told reporters after the game. "That's all I did today. I made contact and it turned out well."
It definitely turned out well for the Milwaukee second baseman today as he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats against Barstow. But not so good for his team, as the Brouhaha took the game at Sprecher Stadium, whipping the Microbrewers 6-5.
T. Sugano doubled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 8th, hit an RBI single in the 9th and walked in the 11th.
To date Sugano has chalked up a .278 average with 10 home runs, driven in 70 runs and scored 73 times.
