When a player gets 5 or more hits in a game, he is honored in the record book and the latest honoree is Shido Kokan of the Barstow Brouhaha. He tore up the Green Bay EZ Riders to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the Barstow 11-6 win today at Emrich Field.
"Kokan was a tough out today," the Green Bay manager said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure."
S. Kokan singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off B. Lupo in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off P. Osuna in the 8th.
| | Monday, September 23rd, 2030: Microbrewers Sugano Smacks 5 Hits! It definitely turned out well for the Milwaukee second baseman today as he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats against Barstow. But not so good for his team, as the Brouhaha took the game at Sprecher Stadium, whipping the Microbrewers 6-5.
T. Sugano doubled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 8th, hit an RBI single in the 9th and walked in the 11th.
