Well, good pitching also beats bad batting.
In his postgame interview the Utah manager said, "Dorsey Futrell made us look real bad today. He was outstanding. He was down in the zone with all his pitches. Everything was sinking."
Futrell had 10 strikeouts, 2 walks and allowed only 4 hits as the Las Vegas Lightning whitewashed the Utah Raptors 7-0.
In 16 starts this season Futrell has compiled a 8-6 record and a 2.86 ERA. | | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 97-65, .599 PCT | | Position in Division | 2nd, 5.0 GB | | Record at home | 54-27, .667 PCT | | Record on the road | 43-38, .531 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 17-5, .773 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 30-26, .536 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 28-22, .560 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 69-43, .616 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 7-3, .700 PCT | | Record in April | 13-7, .650 PCT | | Record in May | 17-10, .630 PCT | | Record in June | 14-14, .500 PCT | | Record in July | 13-13, .500 PCT | | Record in August | 17-11, .607 PCT | | Record in September | 19-8, .704 PCT | | Record in October | 4-2, .667 PCT |
