"I'm frustrated right now," said Poughkeepsie first baseman Patrick Mazzella. "I can't help this team by sitting on the bench or in the training room." Unfortunately for the Paladins, that's where he will be spending the next 2 weeks. Mazzella suffered a tender meniscus (knee) ligament in today's game against Honolulu while running the bases. "Believe me," he said, "I won't be out a day longer than I have to be."
Hitting .312 to date, Mazzella has 5 home runs and 74 RBIs. He has played in 149 games.

There's nothing like being in the prime of your baseball career -- and playing like it. Just ask António Gómez, the Poughkeepsie right fielder, who swung a sweet bat all week to not only aid his team, but also pick up the Vaughan League Player of the Week honors.
Gómez piled up 14 hits in 30 at-bats, 1 home run and 10 RBIs while hitting .467.
This year Gómez has 6 home runs and a .315 batting average.

 | Thursday, August 9th, 2035: Keesee Joins Kings of Clout with #400
The crowd roared -- they knew they were seeing history -- and Adam Keesee was delighted, too -- the 35-year-old Sharks left fielder was making history with his 400th career homer. The crowd buzzed and roared again when Keesee stuck his head out of the dugout for a curtain call.
"Never, as a kid, did I ever think I'd hit even one," he told BNN after hitting No. 400 in a 5-3 victory over Poughkeepsie. Keesee went 2-3 in the game, had 3 RBI and scored 3 runs.
Keesee has a lifetime .283 average and .372 on-base percentage in his career with 1623 hits, 263 doubles, 44 triples, 400 home runs, 1194 RBIs and 1102 runs scored.
