Friday, November 2nd, 2035: Hollywood Takes Title
The Media Whores earned their 3rd Solecismic Series title and now get to spend all winter basking in glory, while the beaten Wombats will have plenty of time to wonder what went wrong.

Hollywood is the Front Office Baseball League Champions for 2035. They did it with a 5-3 triumph to capture the series 4-3.

"Both clubs are talented. We just made fewer mistakes than they did," the winning manager said to the press corps at the postgame press conference. "We made the crucial plays and got the timely hits."

The Utica skipper agreed with that assessment and added, "We were a little weak on fundamentals at crucial times. I have a sneaky suspicion we will be working on fundamentals a lot next spring."

On the way to the Solecismic Series championship, the Media Whores ended up in first place in the Gindin League Dola Division and compiled a 102-60 record during the regular season.
Tuesday, October 23rd, 2035: Vásquez Tosses Shutout Against Billyclubs
Utica pitcher Reynaldo Vásquez gave the Philadelphia Billyclubs fits today as he blanked them 3-0 on 5 hits. He registered 5 strikeouts and 3 walks in the shutout.

His manager said, "When he's locating his pitches, he becomes unpredictable. He had Philadelphia guessing the entire game."

In 32 starts this season Vásquez has crafted a 14-7 record with a 4.51 ERA.
Wednesday, September 26th, 2035: Goodall Pounds HR #600
Wombats third baseman Ronald Goodall reached a career milestone yesterday, blasting home run number 600.

He took the achievement in stride. "It's always good to get another home run and even better to get another win," Goodall told reporters in the postgame interview.

He went 1-3 during the Utica 2-0 triumph over the Honolulu Sharks and scored 1 run with 1 RBI.

Lifetime Goodall is hitting .293 with 3047 hits, 600 home runs, 2019 runs scored and 2049 RBIs.
