Wombats third baseman Ronald Goodall reached a career milestone yesterday, blasting home run number 600.
He took the achievement in stride. "It's always good to get another home run and even better to get another win," Goodall told reporters in the postgame interview.
He went 1-3 during the Utica 2-0 triumph over the Honolulu Sharks and scored 1 run with 1 RBI.
Lifetime Goodall is hitting .293 with 3047 hits, 600 home runs, 2019 runs scored and 2049 RBIs.

Today at The Wombat Burrow, the Honolulu Sharks fell to the Utica Wombats despite a splendid performance by designated hitter Tod Cooper. He had an exceptional day at the plate, tagging Wombats pitching for 5 base hits, but not enough to come away with a win. Utica whipped Honolulu by the score of 18-5.
T. Cooper singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
So far this season, Cooper has recorded a .292 batting average with 191 hits, 21 home runs, 69 RBIs, 109 runs scored and a .321 OBP.

 | Saturday, September 1st, 2035: Adam Keesee Winner in Vaughan League
Prospective free agents love to have hot streaks and Adam Keesee is no exception. The Honolulu left fielder capped off a fine month by hauling in Batter of the Month honors in the Vaughan League.
In August Keesee hit .400 with 13 home runs, 32 RBIs and 21 runs scored.
Currently Keesee is hitting .302 and has collected 40 home runs, 98 RBIs and scored 88 times, while playing in 127 games.
