David Campbell was on fire today and sparked his club to a 5-1 victory over the Eggheads. The Janesville left fielder was a tough out and went 5 for 5 against Princeton in a fine hitting display.
"I got my pitches and I connected. They all found the right holes on the diamond. Some days you hit shots and they're right at somebody... and some days they fall in."
D. Campbell singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.

 | Sunday, August 25th, 2030: Frost Ferrets Blank Princeton, Rios Winner
It was a long day at the plate for the Princeton Eggheads. They never did figure out Jorge Rios and were shut out 5-0. The Bloomington hurler baffled them the entire game, yielding no runs and 2 hits in a very well-pitched outing. Rios also totaled 1 strikeout and no walks in the game.
Thus far this season, Rios has worked 123.2 innings with 71 strikeouts en route to a 11-8 record and a 3.20 ERA.

 | Tuesday, August 6th, 2030: Unknown Will Miss 7 Weeks
Joe Unknown had to leave the Eggheads game against Janesville after suffering back spasms while throwing a pitch. He will be out of the lineup at least 7 weeks. He told SION reporters, "I just felt a sharp pain when it happened. I knew there was something wrong."
