| Breaking News |  | Sunday, July 28th, 2030: Oliver 5-5 for Bloomington
After the Bloomington 8-3 victory over Charlotte and his 5-hit day right fielder Stephen Oliver told SION beat writers, "It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college ball, two hits in a game is very good...three or four hits even better...5 or more are out of sight...and if it is in pro ball...it is really something special. It will get you in the record books."
The 22-year-old player gained that distinction today at Frost Ferrets Ballpark with a spectacular 5 for 5 game against the Charlotte Elite.
The skipper of the Frost Ferrets spoke glowingly of Oliver, telling SION writers, "His swing is getting there. We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Stephen did that to perfection today."
S. Oliver singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off J. Unknown in the 8th.
In 87 games this year Oliver has posted a .332 average and put up these numbers: 15 home runs, 74 RBIs and 71 runs scored.

Wildwood left fielder Seung-won Yun really lit up the Charlotte Elite with a 5-hit barrage today at Bluefish Ballpark -- a performance that sparked the Bluefish to a 15-9 triumph.
He shrugged off the performance after the game and said, "Sometimes the ball finds outfielders, today the ball found some holes."
S. Yun struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
