| Breaking News |  | Friday, September 5th, 2036: Alicea Tosses Shutout Against Greensboro
Enrique Alicea of the Burlington Knights whitewashed the Greensboro Freshmen 12-0 in a complete-game win, limiting them to 4 hits while chalking up 9 strikeouts and giving up 5 walks.
Talking to BNN writers after the game, his manager said, "He's got the makeup. He's not afraid to challenge guys. Enrique is pretty poised out there. He knows how to pitch and how to use his stuff."
In 19 starts this season Alicea has compiled a 9-7 record and a 2.90 ERA.

 | Saturday, July 19th, 2036: Big Day for Drake: Swats 5 Hits
The Horsham St. Faith Saints upended the Vancouver Grizzled Vets at Ballpark of Vancouver today in large part to second baseman Otis Drake, who had a smashing day with the bat -- he racked up 5 hits in 5 at-bats -- and help propel the Saints to a 10-9 victory.
O. Drake hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and tripled in the 9th.
This year Drake has batted at a .270 pace with 54 hits, no home runs, 28 RBIs and scored 29 times.

 | Wednesday, June 18th, 2036: 20-Game Hitting Streak for Bean
Chalk up another one for Montgomery shortstop Del Bean. He now has hit in 20 straight games. Bean went 3-for-4 today's game at Grays Ballpark. However, his club was defeated 5-3 by Burlington.
D. Bean struck out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off J. Unknown in the 4th, tripled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
So far this season Bean has 7 home runs and a .304 batting average.
