"He's got a bunch of different arm angles and his ball was really moving," said the Greensboro manager after watching León Rodríguez of the Honolulu Banana Rats humiliate his club 4-0 in a fine 3-hit shutout.
"If I make good pitches, I'm going to get some outs," Rodríguez said after he befuddled the Freshmen. "I was making good pitches the entire game."
He whiffed 9 and walked 2 in the complete game effort.

It was a good day all around. Bath whipped Bakersfield 21-11 and Pablo Roulos displayed a hot bat, enjoying an outstanding 5-hit day at Red Barons Ballpark.
"Some days, lady luck is on your side," he modestly told BNN reporters after the game. His manager told the beat writers otherwise, "His hitting wasn't luck today. It's his solid approach to hitting. Pablo is focused, patient and he hits to all fields. The more solid at-bats you put together, the more success you're going to have."
The 19-year-old catcher for the Baby Bats collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats to get his name in the record book.
P. Roulos flied out in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, singled in the 7th, struck out in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off D. Helton in the 9th.
Looking at his season stats, Roulos has compiled a .305 batting average and a .343 on-base percentage, while hitting 1 home run and driving in 33 runs.

Fans at Moose Brewers Ballpark witnessed the Moose Brewers blank the Freshmen behind a superb effort by Gabriel Figueroa. The Saint John pitcher allowed 6 hits in recording the shutout.
In 18 starts this season Figueroa has notched a 6-8 record and a 4.42 ERA.
