It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Stafford League, but last week Chet Lee of the Allston Originals reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week.
Lee rocked opposing pitching for a .458 average (11-24), 2 home runs and 7 RBIs to come away with the award.
For the season, Lee is hitting at a .483 clip with 2 home runs, 7 RBIs and has scored 5 runs. He has 14 hits, 1 walk and a .515 on-base percentage.

William Whitener went the distance at Muckies Ballpark today. The Madison hurler yielded 3 hits, walked 1 and had 8 strikeouts in the Muskies 17-0 triumph over the Allston Originals.
