The Terre Haute clubhouse staff referred to him as "the kid" this season. Next year Curt Ervin will have to have a new nickname. He earned it after winning the 2035 JJ League Outstanding Pitcher Award.
Ervin made 32 starts this year, winning 19 and losing 5. He threw 213 innings, fanned 252, allowed 127 hits and 62 walks, while holding opposing teams to a .170 average as he logged an impressive 1.69 ERA.

| Saturday, September 1st, 2035: Ervin - August's Starter of the Month
Curt Ervin took a much-deserved turn in the spotlight earlier today as he accepted the JJ League Pitcher of the Month award for August.
The 21-year-old Gravel Dogs starter is a relative newcomer to the league, but nonetheless racked up an impressive 7-1 won-lost record in 9 starts. He has fanned 74 batters in 60 innings and sports a 1.20 ERA.
To date this year in 30 starts, Ervin has crafted a 17-5 mark with a 1.78 ERA.

| Thursday, August 16th, 2035: Beauchesne Reaches 2500 Milestone
For Wallace Beauchesne, it was a red-letter day. The Indianapolis Ice Weasels left fielder slapped his 2500th career hit. That his team defeated the Barstow Brouhaha, 12-2, made it even sweeter.
His manager paid tribute to Beauchesne after the game: "I've followed Wallace since he came into the league," he said. "Fine ballplayer. Fine work ethic. I'm not surprised by what he's achieved."
The 40-year-old Beauchesne finished the day with 3 hits in 5 at-bats.
Looking at his career numbers, Beauchesne has played in 2129 games with a .313 batting average. Among his 2502 hits are 345 doubles, 12 triples and 393 home runs. He also has scored 1306 runs and driven in 1334 runs.
