Monday, September 2nd, 2030: Graybeal Selected JL Player of the Week
Terre Haute fans have something to crow about today as Terre Haute right fielder Edward Graybeal nabbed the JJ League Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days.

"I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Graybeal.

He posted a .474 average (9-19) this past week with 4 home runs, 9 RBIs, and 8 runs scored.

In his season totals Graybeal has 22 home runs and a .268 batting average.

Sunday, September 1st, 2030: Terre Haute's Graybeal Collects August Batting Honor
Even though he is a newcomer to STK Memorial Baseball League, Edward Graybeal put up some good numbers in August and brought home the JL Batter of the Month trophy.

He was one of Terre Haute's offensive leaders with a .299 average in 27 games. He also racked up 9 home runs, 23 RBIs and 20 runs scored.

Graybeal is hitting .268 this season with 22 home runs, 81 RBIs and 68 runs scored. He has 107 hits in 400 at-bats.

Thursday, August 15th, 2030: 5-Hit Barrage by Okamoto
All game long Terre Haute's Hubert Okamoto was rattling the walls at Gravel Dogs Stadium and banging out base hits against the Duluth Prospectors. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Gravel Dogs had a 13-8 victory.

Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 31-year-old center fielder said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this."

H. Okamoto singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off J. Ellison in the 9th.

This year Okamoto has hit at a .329 clip with 102 hits, 11 home runs, 67 RBIs and 52 runs scored.
