Friday, June 28th, 2030: Cecil Wilson Wallops 3 Homers for Devhits
Cecil Wilson of the Janesville Devhits had a lot to celebrate in today's 14-8 win over the Fox Valley Elves. Three times he celebrated by pounding the ball out of Devhits Ballpark.

He kiddingly told reporters after the game, "Hopefully, I can continue to close my eyes and swing as hard as I can. It worked well today."

The powerful Janesville right fielder tagged 4 hits in 4 at-bats, drove in 6 runs, and scored 3 times in his three-home-run outburst.

Wilson added, "Seriously, I just try to swing early and often to give myself a chance. I let the pitcher supply all the power, I just try to figure out how to get the bat on the ball."

"We talked about changing our strategy for the third one...and then he hit another homer," the Fox Valley manager said. "We just couldn't get him out."

C. Wilson hit a three-run home run off T. Davis in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off T. Davis in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off J. Unknown in the 7th, hit an RBI double in the 8th and walked in the 9th.

This season Wilson has delivered 79 hits in 261 at-bats for a .303 average with 26 home runs. He is getting on base at a .360 clip and his totals also include 79 RBIs and 54 runs scored. This year Wilson has played in 63 games.

Saturday, June 1st, 2030: BL - AAA Relief Ace Matthies - Best Hurler
The best pitcher in the Behm League this month was Fox Valley Elves reliever Benny Matthies. He won the league's Top Pitcher Award for May by saving 4 games in 5 save opportunities.

Over the period Matthies also had 4 wins and no losses. The Elves bullpen ace had 16 strikeouts and 6 walks in 21.1 innings, surrendered 16 base hits and registered a 0.42 ERA.

To date this year Matthies has fashioned a 2.90 ERA over 31 innings with a 4-0 record. He has made 20 relief appearances with 22 strikeouts and 6 saves.

Monday, April 22nd, 2030: Wilson On Fire! 5-6 for Batavia!
It's not something you read in the sports pages everyday -- a 5-for-6 day. It may only come around once in a career -- a lot of players never have one -- but Mark Wilson got one today. He scattered hits all over Ballpark of Batavia to pace Batavia to a 18-11 victory over Fox Valley.

The Fox Valley skipper told reporters in the press room, "Tip your hat to him. He hit some good pitches. According to the scouting report, Wilson hit several that he is not supposed to hit."

M. Wilson hit a two-run home run off G. Sykora in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.

In 2030 Wilson is currently batting .529 with 1 home run and 13 RBIs. In 7 games he has reached base at a .514 rate and scored 8 runs to date.
