Tuesday, August 27th, 2030: Big Day for Keir! Swats 5 Hits!
After the Horsham St. Faith 9-2 victory over Maui and his 5-hit day center fielder Don Keir told SION beat writers, "It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college ball, two hits in a game is very good...three or four hits even better...5 or more are out of sight...and if it is in pro ball...it is really something special. It will get you in the record books."

The 21-year-old player gained that distinction today at Ballpark of Horsham St. Faith with a spectacular 5 for 6 game against the Maui Sting Rays.

The skipper of the Saints spoke glowingly of Keir, telling SION writers, "His swing is getting there. We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Don did that to perfection today."

D. Keir singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off R. Cortes in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th.

This year Keir has hit at a .323 clip with 49 RBIs, 7 home runs and 76 runs scored.
Monday, August 26th, 2030: Elam Twirls Saints to Shutout Victory
It was a razor-sharp performance by Emanuel Elam of the Horsham St. Faith Saints against the Maui Sting Rays. He fashioned a fine 2-hitter in blanking them 7-0 and chalked up 8 strikeouts and 2 walks.

This season-to-date Elam has 3 wins and no losses and a 1.82 ERA.
Thursday, May 30th, 2030: 5-Hits Blitz by Coca
"It was like I was hitting little league pitching," said Teo Coca after his 5-hit performance against the Caribou. "No offense meant to Moose Jaw, but I could see the ball that well. But this wasn't a kid league park, it was Sting Rays Ballpark!"

The Maui first baseman had a fantastic day at the plate, knocking out 5 hits in 5 at-bats and pacing his club to a 10-3 victory.

His manager elaborated after the game to the press, saying, "Teo worked the entire offseason on trying to shorten his swing and stay inside the ball and the hard work is paying off in base hits."

"That's what I'm trying to do," Coca said. "Be quick to the ball and let it travel a little farther so I get a better look at it."

T. Coca singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off J. Unknown in the 9th.

Coca is hitting .329 in 2030 with 3 home runs, 20 RBIs and 31 runs scored. He has 55 hits in 167 at-bats and played in 43 games.
