Saturday, October 13th, 2035: Las Vegas Hurler Tops in Outstanding Pitcher Award Voting
It was a glorious year for Devin Hunter of Las Vegas. He finish the season with 20 victories and only 5 losses with an impressive 2.61 ERA. The talented Fates pitcher started 26 games and struck out 169 batters in 179 innings and copped the Read League Outstanding Pitcher Award.

"It means a lot," Hunter said. "I hadn't really had a chance to sit down and think about it yet. You guys know how I am about numbers and thinking about individual awards. It feels good right now. I can't really put it into words, but I'm sure later on tonight when I have a chance to sit down with my family and think about it, I'll have some words for it. But right now, I'm just happy that it happened this year."

Actually the numbers said plenty for him.

His skipper made this comment upon hearing that he has won the acclaimed award. "Not only is he a talented pitcher, but a great teammate, too. Devin never pointed fingers, never felt sorry for himself, stayed a positive, team-oriented guy and continued to contribute and pull for our team's victories, not worry about his own individual performance."

Later in the interview Hunter did say he took a little peek at his stats. "Probably the last week or so, just to see if I had a chance," he admitted. "Some other people were talking that I had a chance to win. I did look at a few numbers. I felt that it could've gone either way. I'm just happy and thankful that it went my way."

Saturday, September 1st, 2035: Bostrom Holds Victory Scoreless
Robert Bostrom of the Las Vegas Fates was really in the zone as he mowed down the Victorville hitters 4-0 in a sterling mound performance.

"I'm feeling good overall," he said.

"I'm executing my pitches, I'm able to hit my spots and I'm getting outs in key situations."

Bostrom shut down the Victorville Victory, blanking them on 6 hits while registering 2 strikeouts and no walks.

This season Bostrom has a 14-9 record with a 3.75 ERA.

Thursday, August 16th, 2035: Stone Raps Culpeper County for 5 Hits
It was a sensational day at the plate for Clarence Stone as he led the charge to a 7-6 win over the Claymores.

The Fishtown right fielder was pure misery for the Culpeper County pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.

The manager for the Claymores told BNN reporters after the game, "Stone put the ball into play. He really hit it hard. When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."

C. Stone singled in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off J. Unknown in the 9th.

Hitting .461 to date, Stone has 5 home runs and 84 RBIs. He has played in 100 games.
