Kelly Gidley of the Fairfax Machines shut out the Horsham St. Faith Saints 4-0, stopped them on 2 hits and had 5 strikeouts and 1 walk in a strong outing.

After the game his manager said, "He just came out and was on the attack from the first pitch he threw. When Kelly stays ahead in the count, he does well. That's the key."

Tuesday, June 4th, 2030: Hot Hitter! Jones Blisters Fairfax!
It was a big day with the bat for Mark Jones of the Monterey Sea Otters at Sea Otters Ballpark as he bashed out hit after hit after hit to defeat Fairfax 14-3.

To the press after the ballgame he modestly said, "Guys, it's just one game in a long season. I hit it hard and found some holes today -- Bingo! -- 5 hits in 5 tries! But my hits are not the big thing in the game. The victory is the important thing. That's the story."

At the end of the game Jones had collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats and a small mention in the record book. He was happy. He had a big day with the bat. And the Sea Otters had won.
