| Breaking News |  | Tuesday, October 1st, 2030: Super Season, Stokes Wins Outstanding Hitter Award
Bob Stokes slapped, slashed and slugged the baseball all over Pina League ballparks to pull in a majority of the votes for the Outstanding Hitter Award for 2030.
The second baseman for Victorville put up a .339 average as he pounded out 157 hits, 39 doubles, 12 triples, 30 home runs, 120 RBIs and scored 97 runs.
For being named the PL - AAA's best batter Stokes will be honored at the SION Baseball Writers awards banquet this weekend.

 | Monday, September 30th, 2030: Victory Reliever Wins 2030 Outstanding Pitcher Award
Santiago Jiménez of the Victorville Victory is in the spotlight today. The bullpen ace was selected the #1 pitcher in the Pina League and will receive the 2030 Outstanding Pitcher Award.
He compiled a 1-3 record and an ERA of 1.53 in 53 innings with 69 strikeouts. Jiménez nailed down 38 saves in 39 save opportunities.
All of the league award winners will be recognized this weekend at the SBWA annual dinner.

| Monday, September 2nd, 2030: PL - AAA Player of the Week Awarded
The Pina League has named its Top Player of the Week. The honor went to Bob Stokes, second baseman of the Victorville Victory.
In an extraordinary hitting display, he belted out hits at a .385 pace to win the award. Stokes went 10-26 for the week, totaled 5 home runs, 11 RBIs and scored 5 times.
During the current season Stokes is batting at a .339 clip with 30 home runs and 120 RBIs. He has played in 113 games and scored 95 times.
