Richard Brimmer was dynamite today and just blew Pasadena away in the 4-0 victory. The Moose Jaw Caribou starter had everything working as he hurled a 1-hit shutout over the Voodoo, recording 10 strikeouts and 2 walks.
"He was pure nasty out there today. I don't think any team in the would've had a chance against what he was bringing," said the Pasadena skipper during his postgame press conference.
To this point in the season Brimmer has 10 wins and 8 losses and a 3.94 ERA.

The Horsham St. Faith manager told reporters after the game, "When he started out, his command wasn't that good, but he's a tough guy. The more pitches he throws, the better his command is."
He was talking about Paul Walker, who had just hurled a fine 4-hit shutout over the Pasadena Voodoo. He had 9 strikeouts and 1 walk in the Horsham St. Faith 5-0 victory.
"An outstanding job," the Pasadena manager said. "We couldn't get anything going. Every time we got a hit, he got out of the jam. He pitched a terrific game."
In 19 starts this year Walker has fashioned a 9-5 record and a 3.51 ERA.

According to Seth Bonnet of the Pasadena Voodoo, "There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location." He told his pitching philosophy to sportswriters in the postgame interview after his 8-0 victory over Moose Jaw.
He blanked them on a 5-hitter, allowed 1 walk and had 3 strikeouts. "I really felt comfortable the whole game," Bonnet said.
His manager echoed his comments, saying, "He hit his spots time and time again."
To date in 2030, Bonnet has registered 7 starts, 2-3 won-lost mark, 4.09 ERA, 44 IP, 10 strikeouts and 11 walks. Opposing teams have hit .281 against him.
