Tuesday, August 21st, 2035: Great Stroke: Medrano Gets 5 Hits
It was a great day for him at Ballpark of Potomac, but not a good day for his team. Iván Medrano of the Pop Rocks was unstoppable in today's 7-5 loss to the Plainfield Originals.

"Boy, I was on the mark today," the Potomac catcher said after the game. "All I had to do was swing, and I connected. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-5 won't hurt your batting average like 0-5 will. Losing the game is disappointing, but my hits at least gave us a chance."

I. Medrano singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off J. Hardy in the 8th.

This season Medrano is hitting .320 with 150 hits, 9 home runs, 79 RBIs, scored 50 runs and played in 120 games.
Wednesday, July 4th, 2035: Red-Hot Ramírez Scorches Greys
Nobody can fault Mario Ramírez for the Sea Otters 8-5 loss to the Greys at Grays Ballpark. The Monterey center fielder played a whale of a game against Montgomery by going 5-for-5.

M. Ramírez doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

Thus far this year Ramírez has hit .189 with 1 home run and 12 RBIs.
Wednesday, June 6th, 2035: Hits Blitz for Voodoo Navarro
Monterey outplayed Pasadena today in spite of a memorable day for Justo Navarro. The Voodoo second baseman rapped out 4 hits in 5 at-bats, including a cycle and 5 RBI, but couldn't pull out a victory over the Sea Otters. Monterey prevailed 12-11.

J. Navarro flied out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off L. Lewis in the 7th and hit an RBI triple in the 9th.

Currently Navarro is batting .177 with 9 home runs and 40 RBIs.
