| Breaking News | | Tuesday, August 21st, 2035: Great Stroke: Medrano Gets 5 Hits It was a great day for him at Ballpark of Potomac, but not a good day for his team. Iván Medrano of the Pop Rocks was unstoppable in today's 7-5 loss to the Plainfield Originals.
"Boy, I was on the mark today," the Potomac catcher said after the game. "All I had to do was swing, and I connected. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-5 won't hurt your batting average like 0-5 will. Losing the game is disappointing, but my hits at least gave us a chance."
I. Medrano singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off J. Hardy in the 8th.
This season Medrano is hitting .320 with 150 hits, 9 home runs, 79 RBIs, scored 50 runs and played in 120 games. | | Wednesday, July 4th, 2035: Red-Hot Ramírez Scorches Greys Nobody can fault Mario Ramírez for the Sea Otters 8-5 loss to the Greys at Grays Ballpark.
