Wednesday, August 14th, 2030: Barnhardt Spins Shutout
Pat Barnhardt of the Cape May Flounders spun his magic on the Fond du Lac Marines today. He blanked them 5-0 on 2 hits, registering 14 strikeouts and 2 walks.

"The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Barnhardt said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down."

Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, the Cape May skipper said, "We got solid pitching, good defense and we took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations. This was just a solid performance by everyone."

This season Barnhardt has a 10-10 mark in 23 starts with a 3.54 ERA. He has given up 140 hits in 147.1 innings, struck out 184 and issued 70 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .248 batting average against him.

Friday, June 7th, 2030: Olivarez Gets 5 Hits
Eduardo Olivarez exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Nightwings Ballpark. The Flemington left fielder had a field day in the 13-8 triumph over the Fond du Lac Marines, finishing up with a 5-6 day and a spot in the league record book.

"My hitting philosophy is pretty simple," he said. "I focus just to see the ball and try to get a good pitch."

Well, Olivarez must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too. It was one of his best days ever with the bat.

E. Olivarez singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, struck out in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off P. Brown in the 9th.

Olivarez is presently hitting at a .318 pace with 11 home runs and 52 RBIs. He has played in 50 games and scored 37 times.

Thursday, May 9th, 2030: Schaefer Swats 3 HR Against Fond du Lac!
Joseph Schaefer showed some power today as he launched three balls into the seats against the Fond du Lac Marines and sparked the AAs to a 6-0 victory.

For the day he collected 4 hits in 4 at-bats, scored 3 runs and had 6 RBIs.

In the postgame press conference he told the reporters, "I got some good pitches to hit and turned on them real good. I always have liked to hit here at AAs Stadium."

"He was instant offense today," the Warrensburg skipper said. "Joseph really put on a show."

J. Schaefer singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off V. Nussbaum in the 5th, hit a GRAND SLAM off A. Miranda in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off A. Arce in the 8th.

So far in 2030 Schaefer has hit .348 with 9 home runs and 23 RBIs. He has played in 22 games and scored 11 times.
